La Salle University is an institution of higher learning located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A University offers undergrad concentrations in about Lx academic areas within its threesome schools: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, and Nursing. Known as for Jean-Baptiste de la Salle, the school was founded around 1863 by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. When of 2005 the school had assibilate 6,200 students, in terzetto quarters of which were undergrad. Placed in a northwestern Philadelphia front yard of Logan, a university is affiliated using the Roman Catholic Church through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

A campus is placed on the estate of Charles Wilson Peale, the Revolutionary War soldier and painter renowned for his portaits of the founding fathers, most notably, George Washington. His residence is the todays professional of the University president.

the university spawned a propaedeutic section that late separated from either the college & became a separate highschool. In todays world, that school is referred to as La Salle College High School, located in Wyndmoor, just outside Philadelphia.
